The USPTO hosts a database of all trademarks that have been filed, whether abandoned or alive. The USPTO also provides tools to search that database. However, there is not actually a search engine when you search the USPTO records. The tools are database queries that can be difficult to use for those who are untrained.
Our goal with the Trademark Bank search was to create a tool to quickly find relevant trademarks in a basic search, using a true search engine. We also wanted to provide the user with a structured search that lets the user search a few additional fields. Thus, our advanced search lets the user find marks in a particular class, or that have a keyword in the goods or services.
We hope you'll enjoy using our search engine as a tool for your due diligence, finding prior applications, and even for checking the status of your own trademark applications and registrations.
Below are links directly to trademark searches. If you would like to see how Trademark Bank works, you can click one of these searches and view the results. You can also type any word or phrase into the search box above. Finally, if you want to use our advanced search click the button, in the search form above, and then click Advanced, which allows you to search by class or search within the text of the goods or services of trademarks.
