Trademark Application Abandoned - Defective Divided Application
U.S. Federal Trademark Application Has Divided from the Original Trademark Application into Addition Separate Applications
REGISTERED - AWAITING DIVISIONAL FEE; trademark application divided; federal trademark application; divisional trademark; trademark application; application to divide trademark; divide trademark application; abandoned application; office action response
If you received this notice, you divided your application into more than one application. The registration has issued, but the USPTO is awaiting the fee for the divisional.
Your divisional has been accepted, but you must pay a fee for the additional divided application or applications. If you do not pay the divisional fee, your application will go abandoned, and you risk that your original application may also go abandoned if the office action required a divisional.
NOTE: The application fee is a processing fee. Not all applications result in registrations. The application fee will not be refunded, even if the application abandons.
