In some cases, a lawsuit will be filed against the applicant for trademark infringement while the application is in the examination process. While the suit is ongoing, the USPTO's jurisdiction is removed. Because the USPTO loses the authority to take action on the application, the application is placed on hold. Status Code 693 is triggered after the litigation concludes and jurisdiction is restored to the USPTO, and in turn, to your Examining Attorney. At this point, no further action is needed on your part.
