If you have received this notice, you filed a trademark application. The application has now been assigned to an Examining Attorney. The Examiner may take up to six months to examine your application before issuing a preliminary refusal, or moving the application to the next step in the registration process. At this stage, there is nothing for you to do but wait.
Once an Examining Attorney has been assigned, he or she will evaluate your application and you will receive further communication.
At this time, you can find a direct number and/or email to reach the attorney who is assigned to your file if you have something to discuss.
Note that you do not need to take any action. The USPTO will assign the application to an examiner and that examiner must respond to your application within six months of the original filing date.
